Two suspects were arrested after the body of a young woman was found in the boot of car.

Police found the body of a young woman in the boot of a car last night (21 October) at about 23:00. According to Colonel Adele Myburgh, provincial police spokesperson, the Flying Squad were conducting their regular patrols when they noticed a suspicious Polo Vivo driving in Opaal Street, Potchindustria.

The police stopped the vehicle and searched it. Colonel Myburgh says that during their search, the police officials noticed an unpleasant smell.

“The police officers opened the boot. They found the body of a deceased woman. Two suspects were arrested, one is 38- and the other is 30 years old” she said. The deceased is still unidentified. However, the police suspect that she could have been 26 years old. According to Myburgh, she had visible injuries on her body, and her head. Colonel Myburgh confirmed that a case of murder has been opened and is currently being investigated. “The suspects’ first appearance in court will be on Thursday (24 October)” she said.

It is suspected that the 38-year-old suspect murdered the young lady, whom they think was her boyfriend.
