Transnet employees arrested

Transnet employees arrested

According to the communications officer of the police in Fochville, Sgt Elsie Tshonte, police visited a scrap metal dealership in the town on 16 May. While at the site, they saw three men offloading metal from the back of a Transnet vehicle.
The police discovered that they were offloading metal belonging to Transnet.
They interviewed people in the shop and arrested the men, between the ages of 35 and 43 years of age, on charges of possession of suspected stolen goods.
“The police are appealing to the community not to buy stolen goods. They should also report any criminal activity by calling the crime stop number at 08600 10111 or SMSing 32211. You can report crimes anonymously in this way,” says Tshonte.
