With only days to go until SA’s national and provincial elections, residents of Parys took part in a peaceful March on Freedom Day, 27 April, as part of the national greatawakeningssa initiative. Christian Consensus SA’s call for unity received an overwhelming response, with the participants pleading for a righteous government. In addition, the Parys Community Policing Forum this week also called for tolerance among all South Africans in the run-up to the elections.
