Minister of Transport Blade Nzimande has reported that there has been a 16 per cent increase in road accidents in the 2018 festive season when compared to the figures of the previous 2017 festive season, African Reporter reports.

Nzimande told News24 that “The most prevalent violations include excessive speeding, reckless and negligent driving and blatant disregard of road signs”.
