Illegal connections disconnected

The operation was conducted successfully by the engineering services officials in partnership with members of the South African Police Service from the Sedibeng Cluster (Evaton, Klipriver, Sharpville, Vereeniging, Boipatong and Meyerton) and Community Policing Forum (CPF) to ensure the safety of the community and those carrying out the disconnections.
The R59 highway is open and fully operational but should be used with caution.
The Midvaal Local Municipality wishes to condemn illegal electricity connections as they pose a danger to the public, especially unsuspecting minors.
If you are aware of any illegal electricity connections within the Midvaal Local Municipality, please report the cases to our Engineering Services department:
