Angus Buchan part of ‘It’s Time Potch’

It's Time in Potchefstroom

The man behind last year’s prayer in Bloemfontein that was attended by around one million people, Angus Buchan, will lead this year’s ‘It’s Time Potch’ on 9 September.
The organising committee of the second ‘It’s Time Potch’ announced on Tuesday that this year’s prayer for Potchefstroom and the broader North West will also take place at Olën Park Stadium. The event follows the very successful one that was held in September last year.
As last year, the purpose of this day of prayer is to assemble people from Potchefstroom and the broader North West to humble themselves in the presence of the Lord, praying together across all borders for the transformation of our city, province and country.
The gates will open at 12:00 with the main programme kicking off at 15:00. Entrance is free and there will be no offerings taken. This event is financed by the organisers and various individuals, businesses and other organisations by offering their time and services. They have a shared vision to ensure the success of this day and its everlasting impact on society.
The organisers invite the communities of Potchefstroom and the broader North West to attend this day with them. People who would like to get involved to make this day possible can do this through the following means:
. Join a dynamic prayer chain by sending your name, surname and language preferences to 071 569 2086
. Join the group of volunteers that will render assistance prior to, during, and after the event
. Become a financial contributor to assist in covering all costs.
For more information, visit the website, www.itstimepotch.co.za, or the ‘It’s time Potch’ Facebook page.
One of the specific challenges facing the organisers is the maintenance backlog at Olën Park Stadium. This must be addressed before an approval certificate can be issued in order to host the event.
The organisers say they believe that cooperation and unity amongst businesses, church and community leaders will demonstrate the reality of God’s Kingdom to society through this event.
