Parys parkrun close to 200 mark

The organisers are inviting local parkrunners to dust off those takkies and come out of winter hibernation for this run.

Parys – Parys parkrun will be celebrating its 200th parkrun on Saturday, 11 August. The organisers are inviting local parkrunners to dust off those takkies and come out of winter hibernation for this run.
Local numbers have increased, especially over last summer, as more people discover this weekly   5km  run/walk event.
Parys parkrun is a popular destination for out-of-town visitors.
All parkrun events around the country are five kilometres in  distance and are free and timed.
Volunteers from the Parys park-run community ensure that these events take place every Saturday morning, no matter what the weather. Newcomers and children are very welcome.
Parys parkrun starts and finishes at Mimosa Gardens. The entrance is on the corner of Boom and Father Balink (formerly Kruis) streets. Start time is 08:00. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start.
