The memory of Parys’ Basket Works

Can you still remember this?

The Parys Basket Works that manufactured anything from chairs and tables to baskets is a proud part of the town’s history today.
Situated on the premises of the creamery and condensed milk factory, all materials used for manufacturing, came from Parys.
Visitors were allowed at the factory and prices were advertised as ‘very cheap’, and craftmanship said to be ‘more superior than’Madeira work’.
Today, the factory no longer exists but some of the articles manufactured at the Parys Basket Works can still be seen in the Parys Museum.
