Police members in Sasolburg this morning gave support to the Sheriff from Sasolburg who has received an urgent Court Interdict to evict 5 houses at the Nick Ferreira Section at Sasolburg where people has moved in illegally. The houses were standing empty.

According to information the houses were initially built for military veterans.

EFF members tried to stop the process and confronted the representative of the Department of Human Settlement who was the applicant for the Court Interdict.

New locks were put on at the evicted houses. The situation was calm at around 10 this morning when the eviction was finished.
