Many people signed a DA petition in Parys last Saturday asking for 500 MBs of free data per month for every student, registered matriculant and registered job seeker. It formed part of the DA’s national campaign to help young people gain access to the internet to assist them in their studies and job-seeking.
In Parys, the DA branch and local councillors held an information table last Saturday morning.
‘We were delighted by the support we received not only from young men and women in Parys and Tumahole but from many older people,’ said Dr Hannes van Niekerk, chair of the Parys DA branch committee.      Signatures will once again be collected at the Pick n Pay parking area this Saturday morning.
