The annual Free State Powerboat Festival to take place this weekend in Parys, is dedicated to water sport activities and it is for everyone who loves water sports.

The Free State Gambling, Liquor and Tourism Authority will be hosting the Powerboat Festival in the Lion Route. The initiative that has been running since 2009, and empowers young people from disadvantaged backgrounds by skilling and preparing them to partake in water sport.
A new cycle of young people from around Ngwathe Local Municipality will enter this event for the first time.
The event takes place at Parys Golf and Country Estate, 28 October2017 – Qualifying Practices and 29 October 2017 – Official Races. Races start 11h00
