Emergency services are often accused of a late response in an emergency situation that could potentially cost a patient’s life. This hostility towards emergency services personnel sometimes results in them being mistreated, pelted with stones and shoved around during incidents. But, according to a member of the emergency services,  they often have problems reaching their destination if there are no proper landmarks to locate the address. If the exact address is not clearly communicated, emergency personnel sometimes struggle to get there. The situation becomes even more difficult when the street name boards have been removed. Community members are, therefore, advised to send someone to wait on the street for an ambulance to arrive. Another problem is that, on occasions, the ambulance is called out when it is not really necessary. These minor incidents are time-consuming
and hold up the paramedics who should be attending to real emergencies. Delays are also sometimes caused when they are forced to perform
inter-facility transfers that also take time. Community members are urged to treat emergency workers with respect so that they can work efficiently
