For several years, Epilepsy SA has cultivated gardens to supply fresh vegetables to 80 people with disabilities living in their residential care centre in Parys.
When there are excess yields, Epilepsy SA also sells produce to the public in order to raise much-needed funds. The Rotary Club of Parys recently donated gardening tools and vegetable seeds to replace the care centre’s old and damaged tools and ensure that there are sufficient plants for the year. The two organisations have collaborated on fundraising and disability awareness programs this year and look forward to continuing their successful partnership.
