According to Willie Maphosa, council spokesperson, submissions and suggestions may be made electronically to [email protected].
Maphosa says it is hoped that the municipality will have a new name by the end of the current financial year in June.
“At a special council meeting held on Tuesday, the council decided to begin immediately with a process that will lead to the adoption of a name for the amalgamated municipality of Ventersdorp–Tlokwe NW405. A schedule of ward based public participation meetings stretching from 31 January to 13 February was adopted at the meeting.
“A twin process to craft a corporate identity in respect of logo and colours will also be undertaken simultaneously. The process is driven by the Naming Portfolio Committee of Council,” he said.
