Bird watching at Dome Inn and Otter’s Haunt

On the Feathers Bird Club’s next excursion this weekend, they will visit the Dome Inn and Otter’s Haunt on Saturday 23 May.

Everybody interested in going with, meet at the Pick & Pay parking area from where they will depart at 07:00. The Dome Inn will be visited first and then Otter’s Haunt. During September 2014, 46 bird species were recorded at Dome Inn. Both these places are close to town. Bring your binoculars, a picknic basket and a chair and come and enjoy the morning.

The Club will meet again on Thursday 28 May and group presentations with regard to specific bird species will be made. This is a first for club members and promises to be very interesting. Apart from the presentations, Jan Fourie will again show pictures taken by bird club enthusiasts.

The meeting will be in the Sally Martin Park hall at 18:30 and anybody interested in bird life is welcome to attend.
