Heilbron: On Thursday 01 November 2016 at about 09:38 the police in Heilbron arrested three suspect for business robbery and attempted murder.
Five heavily armed suspect allegedly entered a retail shop in Frankfort just after the store opened and tired down employees of the shop. They then filled up the bags with cell phones before fleeing the scene.
The complainants were rescued by customers who entered the shop and called the police. The police reacted swiftly and activated members from neighboring stations to be on the lookout for suspects. Heilbron Crime Prevention Unit responded and spotted a suspicious motor vehicle with male occupants a few kilometers from Heibron to Frankfort. The police forced the vehicle off the road and it came to a standstill. Three suspects got out of the vehicle and fled on foot. The police gave chase and arrested all three. The driver and one other suspect managed to escape.
The police recovered two 9mm pistols and some of the stolen items from the shop. The suspects aged between 30 and 45 who are all from Mamelodi in Pretoria are expected to appear at the Heilbron Magistrate Court.
