If pushing one’s limits was a sport, Klaas Meintjes would have that added to his list of adrenalin-pumping activities: abseiling, rock climbing, mountain biking, paintballing and fishing. Adrenalin junkie Klaas is the brainchild behind the Paintball War Zone, and is a keen paintballer himself. Klaas was born in Dundee and raised on the farm Normandien.
He has loved the outdoors and adrenalin-pumping activities from a very young age. “I prefer being outdoors as compared to indoors,” Klaas added with a chuckle, when explaining where his love for the great outdoors and all the activities it has to offer stemmed from. He also added that his love for the outdoors influenced his career choices, and hence he became a grain trader for Afgri.
When Klaas is not out ‘roughing it’ he is at home with his wife and daughter, relaxing.
Apart from being an adrenalin fanatic, Klaas can also be defined as a ‘busy bee’: “I like to keep busy – I can’t sit still,” he added with a mischievous glint in his eye.
