Clampdown on ‘hard drugs’ in Dundee continues

Local residents have long expressed their horror over the ease access to hard drugs in the CBD.

The clampdown on the availability of ‘hard drugs’ in Dundee’s CBD continued on Monday when police arrested a 36-year-old man found in possession of 15 small bags of cocaine and nine bags of crystal meth.
The suspect is to appear in the Dundee Magistrate’s Court.
Umzinyathi SAPS command spokesperson Constable Siyabonga Nkwanyana said the man was arrested during a high-visibility patrol conducted by the National Deployment team.
In a separate incident, a man was arrested in Greytown on Monday after he was found with 46 bags of so-called ‘rock’ and 32 whoonga capsules.
