Today’s craft is super easy and, best of all, incredibly thrifty to make! It’s suitable for kids of all ages and a great way to teach your little one about colours and shapes.
What you need
- Colourful sheets of felt (any colours work but we used brown, black, orange, red, and yellow)
- 1A4 White paper
- Craft glue
- Needle
- Thread (black or brown)
- Marker pen
- Googly eyes (optional)
- Glue gun (optional)
How to make it
- Download an owl body template from the Internet or use the template provided at the end of this post.
- Cut the template out and trace the pieces with a marker onto different colours of felt.
- Cut out the patterns.
- Stick all pieces together using fabric or craft glue.
- Optional: If you’re feeling extra creative, help your child stich around the owl’s eye with black or brown thread.
- Optional: Instead of using black felt for the eyes, glue on googly eyes (a glue gun works best for this)
- Allow your child’s owl to dry before letting them playing with it.
