NPO works with ‘Santa Claus’ to donate to pupils

Izimbali Zakusasa committee visited the school to donate items to 96 learners.

Sbonelo Mazibuko, the founder of Izimbali Zakusasa Youth Development NPO, has been doing good things while working side by side with Santa’s Shoe Box for the past few years. He has adopted a school called Voorkuer Primary School in Zugwini, to whom they make donations.

On Thursday, the Izimbali Zakusasa committee visited the school to donate items to 96 learners. Sbonelo indicated that Santa’s Shoe Box sent 109 boxes and each learner received a box. The remaining boxes were handed out to some of the children and parents who came along to support the initiative. ‘’I would like to thank Santa’s Shoe Box for always lending a helping hand. We have decided that we will make these kinds of donations to the school yearly. I would also like to thank the Izimabali Zakusasa committee, where we mostly work with Miss KZN for High Schools Sbongakonke Msane. I also thank the principal and educators for making the day a success. The learners and parents were very happy.’’

Sbonelo also mentioned that the Zungwini area is a community where children are underprivileged. For this reason, he would like people to support the movement to help schoolchildren receive a better education and be successful someday. ”This school does not have Wi-Fi, computers, a printer or a library. I have committed to assist them, so if anyone in my network can help with second-hand computers/laptops, an industrial printer, school shoes or anything else a school might need, please reach out to me on 063 964 7117.”
