VRYHEID KZN: How do you install a sense of tradition in your home at Christmas time?

There are a number of magic ingredients that help to make Christmas magical.
Here are our favourites – what's yours?
• Decorate your house – and yard.
• Make your own Christmas decorations and welcoming wreath.
• Write letters to Father Christmas. Help your children to write their wish lists – as long as they’ve been
mostly nice this year!
• Invite an 'Elf on the Shelf' to live with you, and hide him somewhere new every night.
• Look at the lights. Go for a drive or a walk and look at the Christmas lights display in your
neighbourhood.

• Email Christmas cards to friends and family who live out of town.
• Decorate your own gingerbread houses.
• Cut out paper snowflakes or make paper chains.
• Set up a nativity scene in your house and re-enact the story of Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus on
