Phindile releases her debut album

According to her, music was the only thing which made sense to her when she was growing up.

Phindile Buthelezi (22) is a Vryheid resident from the Nyanyeni area, and also an upcoming musician who enjoys music, specifically Maskandi.
According to her, music was the only thing which made sense to her when she was growing up.
She attended Metzelfontein Combined School and continued her studies at Central Technical College in Durban, studying Electrical Engineering.
“I realised that engineering was not for me and my real passion was doing music and singing for the people. I left engineering and did music full time,” explained Phindile.

She said she ‘exercises her talent’ by singing for the people in her community, including schools, churches and at weddings and funerals, as well as events across the area.
On December 12, Phindile released her first album titled Isigwebo Sentambo with 12 tracks, which she worked on with Bongokuhle Music Production.
She also worked on the album with her brother, Mbongiseni Buthelezi, who is the guitarist, Wendile Buthelezi and Syethoba Zungu, her backup singers and Bongumusa Buthelezi, her producer.
Phindile’s dream is to be in the music industry and see herself grow as an artist and performer.
However, she is in need of support with sound and funding.
Her music is available for download on iTunes and can be listened to on YouTube.
