Small-town DJ Spencer TMB has made a big name for himself when he recently won the award for Best DJ at the Qhakaza Music Awards.

At a glittering ceremony attended by South African music industry elite, the 29-year old (whose name is Sizwe Ntshaba) was blown away when it was announced that he was the winner in the category. He says elation could not begin to describe his feelings at the time, as it was an unexpected win, but one that has etched his name in the industry players’ minds.
The awards ceremony was held on November 30 in Durban.
“I am very happy that I have been recognised, and winning this award feels great. I would like to thank everyone, especially Unakane Records who promoted me and my music,” said DJ Spencer TMB.
He has close to 20 years in the music industry and has a Certificate in Music from a tertiary institution, which was attained in Bloemfontein in 2000.
Being no stranger to winning, DJ Spencer TMB also won the Best Male DJ of the Year and Best Upcoming DJ of the Year at the SA DJ of the Year Awards in 2016.
