Fundraising movie night to be held in Weenen

Join Cara du Plooy as she raises funds for Singakwenza

Weenen resident Cara du Plooy is throwing her weight behind a cause that is close to her heart.

Singakwenza is a non-profit organisation that promotes early childhood education and has dozens of members who work across South Africa, Swaziland and Botswana, training and facilitating workshops for thousands of adults and children. To show support and raise funds for Singakwenza, Ms du Plooy will be hosting a movie night at the Owl & Elephant Lodge in Weenen on December 14.

The movie ‘Instant Family’ will be screened and the cost for a ticket as well as a wors roll or hamburger is just R40. Popcorn and cool drinks will be on sale and a cash bar will be available.

Supper will be served from 6pm and the movie will begin at 7pm.

Bring along your blanket or camping chair and enjoy the evening, while supporting a worthy cause. In addition, Ms du Plooy will be swimming the 8 Mile and has to raise R12,000 for the charity of her choice.
