Music festival gets Newcastle jiving

Newcastle residents were treated to a local and national music special at Amcor Dam on Saturday.

It was a hive of activity at the Amcor Dam Spring Dance Music Festival 2019.

Newcastle born star, Anele Zondo, aka ‘Ney the Bae’ was also part of the festival as one of the hosts.

Zondo is currently a presenter for the Massive Music show, which airs on Mzansi Magic.

Another star of the show was Zanda Zakuza, who is currently making waves in the music industry and has done features with well-known producer and DJ, Prince Kaybee.

Amcor Dam Spring Dance Music Festival co-organiser, Sibusiso Shabangu said the event was a success: “The main aim of the festival was to empower local artists and local businesses. We are proud of the turnout and hope to make the event even better next year.”

The music show started midday with a picnic set-up and went on well through the night, where artists took turns on stage to entertain eager music fans.
