Dundee braces itself for the 1st Soundwave

"Do not go there think you will only here gospel music. Oh no! It's going to rock 'n roll this town and become an event never to be missed..."

Talented musicians in Dundee seem to keep popping up in the most amazing places. To help nurture and expose this myriad of talent, September 20 to 22 has been booked for the first of the annual Soundwave Dundee Music Festivals.

Pam McFadden, of the organising committee, confirmed local churches are being used as the venues because they have seats, some of them great acoustics and musical instruments. Churches involved include New Life, NG Moedergemeente, St James and Uelzen Church.

“Do not go there think you will only here gospel music. Oh no! It’s going to rock ‘n roll this town and become an event never to be missed – so tell all your friends and don’t miss out… Or do the usual Dundee thing and say ‘we didn’t know about it’.”

To give everyone a chance to hear some of the musicians ahead of the time, they will perform on the street during the next Dundee Street Market on Beaconsfield Street, on the morning of September 21. Market stalls are free and everyone is welcome to join the fun. Contact the organisers at info@talanamuseum.co.za to book your space.
