Will he really be back after the flying kick?

The American actor, politician and former body-builder was in the country for the tournament, and the video showed how he was kicked in the back, causing him to stumble.

Dear Reader,

How far will people go to become ‘Insta famous’ and go viral these days?

Just ask the person who decided it would be a good idea to ‘drop kick’ the Terminator at the Arnold Classic Africa festival, which took place at the Sandton Convention Centre this past Saturday.

National and international media houses were in a media-fed frenzy as video surfaced of the attack.

The American actor, politician and former body-builder was in the country for the tournament, and the video showed how he was kicked in the back, causing him to stumble.

Twitter lit up shortly after the video surfaced, with South Africans expressing outrage, embarrassment and shock as they called for the culprit to be ‘terminated’.

To his credit, Arnold Schwarzenegger barely posted messages to say he was fine and the ‘attack’ would not detract from the thousands of great athletes he met at the event. I followed the story with interest, and was amazed by some of the headlines.

Here are a few gems for your enjoyment:

Arnold Schwarzenegger Went to South Africa and All He Got Was This Flying Dropkick
Arnold Schwarzenegger becomes victim of nasty fly-kick in South Africa
‘Idiot’ kicks Arnold Schwarzenegger in the back at South Africa sports event

Arnold Schwarzenegger ‘not pressing charges’ after being dropkicked
Argh, me back: Arnold Schwarzenegger OK after South Africa flying kick
Will he be back? Arnold Schwarzenegger attacked in Johannesburg

Yet again, it seems South Africa is in the news for all the wrong reasons. Schwarzenegger will not be pressing charges after the assault, but it begs the question about crime going unpunished.
