KZN’s North Coasts soaring property market

Buying property for your business can be intimidating, but does not have to be, there can be no doubt that when you buy property in KwaZulu-Natal you are making the right choice. KZN’s North coast has seen a rise in its property market, and developments are adding to the profitability of this area.

Thinking about buying property for your business does not have to be a daunting task, when you buy property in KwaZulu-Natal you can rest assured that you are making a sound investment. The North Coast of KZN has seen an influx of investors, and there is a good reason why.

Situated between the ports of Durban and Richards Bay, this area could  not be more perfectly situated when it comes to trade. Adding to this is the King Shaka airport, developed as a springboard for Central and Southern Africa.

Other factors making the North Coast an attractive option for investors according to Mark Johnson, Licensee of Seeff North Coast,  “In terms of larger industry there has been a big shift as a result of what has already happened and what is planned to happen in the next 10 years. In the south, in addition to Umhlanga and surrounds, we have the Cornubia office and industrial development.”

With developments such as Dube Trade Port Special Economic Zone, the Agrizone and the Cargo & Logistics Hub makes the North Coast the prime location for a global logistics and manufacturing centre for sub-Saharan Africa and other parts of the world. Major Logistic companies are already begun operations to service the growth that is to be expected.

Many families have found themselves relocating to the North Coast, creating a new phenomenon called semigration, which sees the breadwinner relocating with their family instead of commuting to and from the business. This can be found in the recent developments of schools, hospitals and retail centres, accommodating the influx of families. It is said the North Coast will see about 12 000 homes being built in the next 7-8 years.
