The Vodacom Newcastle Winter Festival for 2016 has been hailed as ‘the best ever’.
Committee chairperson, Hennie Pelser said this year’s edition had gone well, although official feet counts and statistics had not yet been compiled.
“The rain on Saturday played an effect, but otherwise it went well.”
Calling the 2016 festival the best ever, in terms of performances, Mr Pelser said the best aspect was being able to cater to all members of the community.
He also lauded HHP and Kwesta for a memorable Saturday evening.
Mr Pelser revealed another notable aspect of the Vodacom Newcastle Winter Festival was the fun fair, which boasted four new extreme rides.
This contributed to his high opinion of the 2016 festival.
Compared to previous editions, Mr Pelser said, “I believe there was an improvement from last year, but we can’t tell without the figures.”
