Effectively a panic button for your device, triggering the alert will call emergency responses, as well as notifying friends and users within your proximity, plus marking responders on your map.

PriceCheck

This price comparison application allows you to compare products by category, plus it features an in-app barcode scanner.

Wildlife Tracker

If you love the great outdoors, this app is roaring for your attention. It is a real-time app for animal sightings in nature reserves, plus information on other users’ sightings in the same area.

Awesome South Africa

This location-based travel app is endorsed by SA Tourism and basically connects residents with hotels, restaurants, shops and more in our country. It’s like a tour guide in your pocket.

One Voice One Conversation: Aweza

Described as a multi-lingual SA language phrase translator, Aweza aims to use mobile technology to bridge the language gap, while encouraging interaction between cultures.

Mobbleton

The last on our list is a fun simulator, which makes you the Chief Energy Gatherer in the fictional Mobbleton. Combining luck and problem solving, this app is described as stimulating puzzle gameplay. Now, if only Eskom worked this way.
