SIX OF Stepping Out Dance Academy’s Dancers headed off to SATCH (South African Talent Championships) in the holiday for the National round. Each year Stepping Out Dance Academy’s Students work hard for competitions like these.

SATCH offers children the opportunity to show their talent. They offer Model, Drama, Dance and Singing.

Our Results were as follows:

Groups:

Never Grow up (Lyrical Dance), Thinking Out Loud (Modern Dance) & Juicy (Modern Character) all received a Bronze. Dancers in these groups: Anke Slump, Megan de Beer, Catia Marques, Kayla Becker & Caity Scheepers. All three groups received 79%.

Solos:

Anke Slump: Open dance – Silver 83%.

Caity Scheepers: Fashion runway – 82% Silver; Open dance – 79% – Bronze; Hip Hop Dance 81% Silver.

Kayla Becker: Modern Straight – Bronze 76%; Modern Character – Silver 81%; Commercial (Drama) – Silver 83% and Children’s Runway (Modeling) – Silver 84%.

Megan de Beer: Fashion Runway (Modeling) – Bronze 79%; Open dance Silver -83%; Tap dance Silver -84% & Hip Hop Dance – Gold with 86%.

And lastly, seven-year-old Clarissa Scheepers, our youngest student so far to go to Nationals – Modern dance – Silver 81%; Modern Character – Silver 82% and Children’s Fashion Runway – Gold 87%.

SATCH also chose seven-year-old Clarissa as a TOP 10 winner in the Modeling category with the highest score in her age division for modeling. This was an overwhelming moment for both her mom and Marina.

We are so proud of every student that achieved amazing results. Thank you for working so hard in class and always giving your 110%. You are ALL STARS!
