Planning your big day in the wintry months?
Here are some tips to help match the mood to the season:
Icicle themed wedding cake
Snow or no snow, adding icicles to that icing will reflect perfectly for your winter wedding.
Have the wedding in a barn
Good luck finding one big enough, but if you’re planning a smaller wedding, a barn can create a rather cozy environment. (Be prepared for “born in a barn” jokes.)
Winter trees
Line your aisle with trees synonymous to winter, or place miniature ones on the tables.
Wedding colours
The colour white symbolises innocence, and, coincidentally winter. If you were probably planning on making everything white anyway, add some silver or dark browns to the mix.
Winter flowers
Everyone does bouquets of elaborate flowers. How many have had one made of pinecones? Please just be careful should you decide to toss it to the bridesmaids; that could end badly…
