It’s been an eventful week with striking workers, a factory explosion and cable and car thieves overshadowing the good news.
There was a ripple of shock when news broke that eight people were hurt in an explosion at the Masonite factory, fortunately we’ve been told that five staff members have been discharged from hospital with the other three in a stable condition.
Police have warned that criminals who use a remote control device to unlock your vehicle are doing the rounds in town, please be aware when parking and exiting your vehicle, double check that it is locked before leaving.
On a lighter note, it was great to be part of the festive atmosphere at the Moorleigh Church Bazaar where delicious German treats were for sale and the residents shared lunch and fellowship together.
