The Oval Shopping Centre held its 19th birthday celebration on Saturday morning and awarded tokens of appreciation to shoppers. Various competitions kept a large number around the stage for hours. Glittering prizes were awarded to the winners.
The centre was developed in 1994 and opened its doors for trading on March 22,1995. The Oval is a landmark in Ladysmith, situated in the heart of the CBD. Hundreds of shoppers had a fabulous time good competing and taking advantage of numerous bargains.
Checkers donated the traditional birthday cake which was shared amongst shoppers. The main competition was won by Aubrey Radebe who walked away with a weekend for two.The Oval Shopping Centre attracts shoppers from in and around Ladysmith because of the value for money items available there. 19 Not Out!
