It’s been an interesting week in Umtshezi.
Political parties have been jostling to get recognition ahead of the Ward Four by-elections and the national general election.
An election debate was held for the Ward Four by-election candidates last week.
What was disappointing to note was that there was a very slim representation of the residents from the ward.
There were however, a large number of political party supporters.
The long weekend too was alive with the sounds of campaigning, which some residents have responded to in our letters page this week.
And as we embrace ourselves for another round of promises, I hope you have registered to vote.
