Fun and competition on the sports field
The learners showed great enthusiasm on the sports field
A very successful and fun athletics meeting was held at Drakensview Primary School recently.
The weather was kind and the parents’ support was outstanding. All the learners participated with great enthusiasm in a variety of novelty races.

Each participant was rewarded with a sweet at the end of each race. The highlight of the day was watching the parents demonstrate how races ought to be run and the educators demonstrating that they too can run reasonably well!
The Grade 1 educators co-ordinated the function.
A big thank you to the parents who came to support their children; the teachers; and of course the stars of the day, the young athletes.
