Michaelis School -Swimmers break records
ON February 20, the teams of Ente and Pelikan battled it out in the water at our annual school gala.
This was the first year that the Kindergarten also took part. All the little ones jumped in the water first and they swam so well, followed by our beginners and then all the other races. Quite a few records were broken and we are so proud of every single child that put their fears aside and braved the water.
Danika Vyncke and Shane van der Linde took home the Junior Victrix and Victor Ludorum trophies. Our Senior Victrix and Victor Ludorum were Tracey Steffensen and Rudi Dedekind. Congratulations to these four children on their fantastic efforts! Ente took home the winning trophy as well as the spirit trophy. Well done, children. You are all super stars!
Michaelis Kindergarten opens an aftercare: Michaelis Kindergarten is thrilled to welcome Wiekie van Baaden to our team. Wiekie has been appointed as our new aftercare teacher. By the excited greetings she receives every afternoon we can already see that she has not only won over the Michaelis Kindergarten teachers and staff but, most importantly, our children. Wiekie has been doing her teaching practical at our Kindergarten and has consistently proven her competence and love of children. We know that we are leaving our most precious in extremely able hands.
