On Saturday, February 14, 16 learners from Estcourt High School participated in the Midlands Schools Swimming Championships Gala, held at Joliffe Pool, Pietermaritzburg.
They competed against schools like Maritzburg College, St Annes, Epworth, St Charles and it was a tough competition. In that stiff competition, two of our learners, namely David Kunene and James Webb came out victors.
David Kunene got position two (100m freestyle Under 15) and was awarded a silver medal. He also got position three (50m breaststroke Under 15) and was awarded a bronze medal. James Webb got position three (50m backstroke Under 16) and was awarded a medal.
