Chilly swim for charity

Even with the water temperature at a chilly 9 degrees Celsius, the intrepid swimmers jumped in, all in the name of community spirit and fund-raising

174 swimmers braved the chilly weather on June 24 when they took part in the annual Polar Bear Swim.

This popular event was held at Dragon Peaks Resort and is a fund-raiser for the Estcourt Animal Shelter, Khetani Animal Shelter and Animal Angels.

Even with the water temperature at a chilly 9 degrees Celsius, the intrepid swimmers jumped in, all in the name of community spirit and fund-raising.

Swimmers won a multitude of spot prizes that were sponsored by Drakensberg Experience members. A large amount of dog food was donated by the spectators.
