Darren takes the mug

Darren won both the medal and stableford competitions

Estcourt Golf Club played host to the Mortimer Motor Group sponsored Monthly Mug on April 1. Although it was a small field, some great golf was played.

First in the medal competition was Darren Parker, counting-out Shane Mothilal into second place. Both scored a nett 68.

Third was Nkosinathi Khuzwayo on a nett 70 (count-out). Darren Parker was also first in the Stableford competition with 42 points, followed by Shane Mothilal (40 points) in second and Geoff Richmond in third with 38 points (on yet another count-out).

Shrey Harrynarain congratulates Shane Mothilal, who came second.

The Brokenshas Multi-franchise best gross was won by Nkosinathi Khuzwayo with a gross of 76. The Gerry’s Motors closest to the pin on 2 for 2 was won by Gordon Chotu. The jackpot was won by Shamesh Sewsunker with 12 points.

Closest to the pin on no. 16 was Nkosinathi Khuzwayo, while the longest drive on no. 9 went to Geoff Richmond. Only one two-club was carded for the day, which belonged to Owen Mcluckie on no. 16. A reminder that the Estcourt Open weekend is from April 28 to 30 and players are requested to get their names down early to avoid disappointment. Thank you to the sponsors and all the players who competed.
