Golf club champions are crowned
The Club Championships is a popular and hotly-contested annual competition

Estcourt Golf Club hosted their Club Championships on March 18 and 19.
Blurock Quarries and Procon Precast sponsored the event; now three years in succession.

The championship started on the Saturday, with five divisions being played and some impressive scores posted. Adrian Brown grabbed the early initiative to score level par on Saturday – truly magnificent!
Sunday saw some of the divisional leaders quickly change, with impressive golf being played. Adrian kept his closest rivals in check, shooting an amazing one-under-par to win the Club Championships.
He was eight shots clear of Dr Nkosi Khuzwayo, who claimed the best weekend nett of 137 – another amazing two rounds of competition golf.
Results:
A Division: first – Adrian Brown on 143, second – Nkosi Khuzwayo on 151, and third – Philani Mabaso on 156.
B Division: first – Sam Sewsunker on 161, second – Denal Budhu on 168, and third – Owen Mcluckie on 171.
C Division: first – Warren Smith on 187, second – Kamy Baboolal on 188, and third – Viren Omardath on 190.
Ladies’ Division: first – Delia le Roux on 190, second – Gina Hamman on 221, and third – Laura Erasmus on 252.
Juniors’ Division: first – Oliver Brown on 165, second – Connor Brown on 168, and third – Yarish Goondram on 193.
