Anglers fish for points

The anglers were keen to 'bag the big one’

As 2022 drew to a close, Umtshezi Angling Club (UAC) members took the challenge of trying to catch that ‘big one’ and add some points to their individual score cards.

A beautiful crisp summer public holiday morning (December 16) greeted the anglers as they cast in their lines at Wagendrift Dam.
Ezemvelo KZN Wagendrift Nature Reserve also hosted their Family Fun Day on the day.

Lotus FM broadcast from 06:00 to 18:00 on the day and there were loads of activities, stalls and fun being had on the day.
Angling club member Dharam Sewraj and chairperson Avanash Lakhan were interviewed live on radio, and had a chance to promote the club and offer some fishing tips. UAC members had some tight lines on the day, with many members landing up on the score board.
