The first of 12 Mortimer Motors Group monthly medal competitions took place on January 14.
40 golfers participated in good golfing conditions, albeit sweltering heat, eager to capture their first mug. The competition was played off a 95 % handicap allowance.
Winning off a 15-handicap was Elias Mageza on 64 nett and 44 Stableford points. In second place on 68 nett and 40 points was David Diedrick, who also claimed the Brokenshas Multi-franchise best gross on 76.
Gail Boettiger claimed third position on 69 nett and 39 points. She also won the Gerry’s Motors closest to the pin for two on no. 2.
Nkosi Khuzwayo won closest to the pin on no. 7.
Thokozane Dladla carded a two-club on no. 12, while Elias had his on no. 3. Sam Sewsunker and Arnold Boettiger shared the jackpot prize on 11 points.
