Uloom FC adds to win total

The team will aim for more points against Spartans FC this weekend.

A counter-attack allowed Uloom FC to sneak the winning goal past Spartans FC’s Bilal Ahmed, during the latest round of the Newcastle Social Soccer League on August 14.

Uloom took an early lead after the Spartans goalie misjudged a low drive, but Spartans managed to equalise. It was only after a stumble from Malik on the attack that Uloom finally had its chance…

The second contest of the day saw Malawi FC hand Fairleigh United a four-goal drubbing.

In the main match, Legends FC and Zim Stars were evenly matched. A late steal from Rovaal Kunju led to a long clearance for Gregory Maistry, who delivered a pinpoint cross to Wasim Ahmed for the equaliser.

Fixtures for Sunday (August 21) are as follows:

13:30 – Zim Stars versus Malawi FC

14:30 – Legends FC vs Fairleigh

15:30 – Spartan vs Uloom FC.
