Former Highlander leads Sharks women

Robert Everson Snr led the female provincial side from April to June this year.

The coaching staff and players of the Newcastle Boschpick Highlanders have plenty to be proud of from the past three months.

Robert Everson Snr, an assistant coach and former Highlander, was recently chosen to lead the Sharks women’s team at the 2022 Women’s Inter-Provincial Premier Division. The competition took place from April to June this year.

In addition, Ulender Khumalo, who received a full scholarship to attend the Gauteng Women’s Rugby Institute at the beginning of the year, was recently chosen for the Valke (Falcons) Senior Women’s rugby team in Germiston.

Highlanders head coach, Andre Swanepoel said this was proof that perseverance earns genuine rewards.
