Hockey club shines at Quadrangular Series –
Newcastle will play host to the exciting Quadrangular Series next year. This was announced by the chairman of the Newcastle Hockey Club, Struan Wade recently.
Wade explained that hockey players from Newcastle, Ladysmith, Dundee and Vryheid were in action during the Quadrangular Series in Pietermaritzburg last month. The Northerns A men’s side clamed the trophy for the third consecutive year.
The Northerns women’s team next takes on the South African Country Districts (SACD) tournament at Kearsney College in July.
