Golfers tee off at Rotary’s annual fundraiser –
With a first prize of a vacation at a prestigious Drakensberg resort on the line, 90 eager golfers teed off at the Newcastle (Majuba) Rotary Sponsored Better Ball on Saturday (April 9).
Rotarians explained the annual golf competition was their biggest source of funds, which are used for various community outreach projects during the year. The golf day also generates awareness about Rotary and its aims.
At the conclusion of the day, which featured water tables and prizes for ‘nearest the pin’, Jannie Esterhuizen and Ronnie Acker were announced as the winners.
