VRYHEID KZN: Over 100 players tee off in aid of Child Welfare

Over the years, they have managed to raise over R1 million for Child Welfare

This is the 18th year that Siyaxhasana Construction CC has hosted the Vryheid Child Welfare Golf Day… Over the years, they have managed to raise over R1 million for Child Welfare, being a passion of the owners of Siyaxhasana, Wayne Bissett and Sunjay Bennie. Hence they admirably organise the annual event with the help of Cathy de Beer, who does most of the administration for the golf day.

This year was no different, and 104 players participated in the charity event. There were lots of prizes to be won, of which two were raffles; a 40-inch TV and a bicycle. Mr G Dlamini is now the proud owner of the television, while Mr Kruger won the bicycle. Other prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin and the overall winners included slow cookers, ice-cream makers, meat hampers and blenders.

The day turned out to be another huge success, but it couldn’t have happened without the support of all the sponsors. Jill Dahl from Vryheid Child Welfare extends her sincere gratitude towards each and every sponsor who was involved, as well as everyone who helped on the day. “Without the sponsors, it would never be possible to have our annual golf day and I am grateful for each of them. And thank you once again to Sunjay, Wayne and Cathy for organising and supporting the day, as well as supporting Child Welfare in general,” she humbly said. Jill also thanked Vryheid Country Club for their support.
