DUNDEE KZN: Covid knocks bowls but the game goes on

The Club Mixed Pairs competition will go ahead this coming weekend.

Unfortunately, the bowls calendar for 2021 is off to a slow start due to the Covid Alert Level 3 restrictions put in place by the president late in December.

This means that only pairs and singles may be played, alcohol sales are prohibited and not more than 50 people may be present on the club’s premises at any given time. Many tournaments have either been postponed or cancelled for the near future.

However, with this being said, the Club Mixed Pairs competition will go ahead this coming weekend. Good bowling to all who have entered!

The club would also like to take this opportunity to offer its condolences to Stanley Naicker’s family and loved ones, as well as the golfing community, after his passing. May you all find peace during this sad time. If you would like to find out more about bowls, please contact Greg Conolly on 082-924-7788 for more info.
