Submitted by Vryheid Luremasters This week, the Vryheid Luremasters want to congratulate the father and son team of Henk and Niel Fourie. The Vryheid Luremasters held their fourth league for the 2020/2021 season on October 3 at Blood River. Although the day started out cold and windy, anglers had their lines in the water from 6am. It warmed up a little bit later and the fish started to bite. The league was won by Henk Fourie with his catch of 1.54kg. Second place also went to Henk Fourie with a catch of 1.340kg. Congratulations to all the anglers who managed to catch a fish; and thank you to all who attended. The second league for October will be hosted at a private dam on October 31. Congratulations to Niel Fourie on setting a new club record. Well done – it is a very proud moment. Niel caught a 5.06kg bass on September 20 at a private dam just after 6pm. Yes, this is a new club record! Congratulations, Niel, as this is a dream for a lot of us.
